Children move to music and engage in creative play filled with songs, rhymes and activities that are age appropriate. The content enhances each child's motor and cognitive development, sense of musicality and body awareness - an excellent first step towards future dance and music disciplines. The class is open to dancers 18 months through 3 years of age.

Ballet and tap movement teach ballet positions and terminology, stress development in awareness of hand and arm movements, strengthen basic rhythm movements and introduce tap sounds. The emphasis is on joy of movement and dance in a learning atmosphere with direction from the instructor and class participation. The class is open to dancers at least 3 years old as of September 1.

Designed to provide children with a basis in ballet, tap and jazz. Students learn the elements of music and dance, individually and in groups, musical rhythm, beat and time, opposites and directions and basic dance steps.

Dancers learn dance in a fun, encouraging environment. This class provides an opportunity for children with special needs to participate in dance education. Through the class, dancers gain confidence, coordination and strength. The class curriculum is developed by a Minnesota licensed special education instructor, and the class will have an instructor with classroom assistants. If a child has profound needs, a parent or paraprofessional is asked to be in the classroom with the dancer.

Ballet I

Ballet is the foundation for other (but not all) styles of dance. Dancers must be able to execute proper technique for each movement to the fullest for that level. Ballet I will be taught to a beginner/intermediate ability level.

PrePointe/ Pointe

Students are invited to this class by their ballet instructor and must take Ballet III in conjunction with this class. Dancers begin in soft shoe with exercises to strength their ankles and increase their technique. When approved by the instructor, students will purchase pointe shoes to continue training.

Intro to Modern

Modern dance is focused on the visual use of gravity through the body in abstract ways. While having a heavy ballet foundation, it isn't as strictly structured.

Musical Theatre is a great class to add more diversity to a dancer's movement, vocabulary and style. The senior class is open to dancers in grades 5- 12.

Junior Hip-Hop

Hip-Hop evolved out of street and break dancing and is characterized by its athletic style. The junior class is open to dancers in grades 1 - 5.

Hip-Hop is a range of street dance styles that have evolved as a part of hip-hop culture and music. It borrows elements from many different styles and develops unique styles of its own. The senior class is open to dancers in grades 5 - 12.

This class includes flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering and tumbling. Attire is hottard or leotard (no t-shirts) with form fitting shorts, no jewelry, hair must be restrained. This class is open to students in Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st Grade.

This class includes flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering and tumbling. Attire is hottard or leotard (no t-shirts) with form fitting shorts, no jewelry, hair must be restrained. This class is open to students in grades 1 and older who have mastered forward rolls and bridges. This class will be working on clean cartwheels, backbends and walkover

This class includes flexibility, strength, balancing, limbering and tumbling. Attire is hottard or leotard (no t-shirts) with form fitting shorts, no jewelry, hair must be restrained. This class is open to students in grades 2 and older who have mastered cartwheels and backbends. This class will be working on walkovers, handsprings, aerials and acro combinations.

Class designed to push kids further in their strength, flexibility and technique, help them set goals, teach them the proper way to stretch. We will be working a lot on how to use technique while stretching.

Dancers will work to learn and execute choreography quickly by learning dance combinations in a variety of genres. Dancers will discuss tips and tricks for standing out at dance conventions and dance auditions.
With permission only, younger dancers may be considered for this class.

Competition companies are made up of students that have auditioned and were accepted to a company. Competition students pay for unlimited classes and an additional fee for more than three group routines. Optional classes are also available in other disciplines, expanding the dancer's world of dance, making them a well-rounded dancer.
